A bus carrying students and teachers crashed in Subang, Indonesia, resulting in the deaths of at least 11 individuals. The accident occurred as the bus was returning from a resort area in Bandung to Depok, West Java. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, but initial findings suggest that the bus had malfunctioning brakes and was unfit for the road. The passengers totaled 61, with nine pronounced dead at the scene and two dying later in the hospital. Numerous others were injured, some critically, and have undergone surgeries. Road accidents with multiple fatalities are not uncommon in Indonesia due to challenging driving conditions caused by hilly terrain and inadequate road lighting.
