IKEA wants to pay real people to work in its new store inside Roblox game
·1 min
IKEA is offering paid work on the gaming platform Roblox, becoming the first brand to do so. The company is seeking real-life staff to work in its virtual store on Roblox, called ‘The Co-Worker Game’. Applicants must be over 18 and live in the United Kingdom or Ireland. Successful candidates will work in different sections of the online store, assisting customers in choosing furniture and serving digital meatballs. They will be paid £13.15 ($16.82) an hour, the same rate as a typical real-life IKEA employee in London. IKEA’s move onto the Roblox platform is described as its ‘first foray into mainstream gaming.’
